ABTA Code of Conduct
arrangeMY Escape is a member of ABTA and adheres to its Code of Conduct.
We provide financial protection for your money when you buy a package holiday. If you buy other travel arrangements such as accommodation only this protection doesn’t apply.
Definitions of package holidays and linked travel arrangements can be found in section 2 of the Regulations https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2018/634/contents/made
The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of the Package Travel. Therefore, you will benefit from all EU rights applying to packages. Your tour operator will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole. Additionally, as required by law, the tour operator has/have protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes/they become insolvent.
The required wording is set out in the schedules to the Regulations, at http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2018/634/contents/made
Not all travel arrangements are covered and there are different schemes. Here are some guidelines.
1. Package holidays must be financially protected. If the package includes a flight this will be through ATOL. If it doesn’t protection will be through bonding (e.g. with ABTA), an insurance policy or a trust account. Affected Clients will receive a refund or be brought home if their travel company goes out of business.
2. Flight sales aren’t protected against the failure of the airline, if bought directly from an airline, or from a travel agent and the agent issues a ticket immediately. Some flight sales, such as by tour operators, are protected by ATOL, meaning that if the tour operator goes bust the Client receives a refund or is brought home if necessary.
3. For accommodation-only sales, and other services on their own, there's no legal requirement that they’re protected. The supplier might voluntarily provide protection (e.g. through ABTA).
Health requirements
Clients should be advised to seek advice on recommended vaccinations and precautions from a health professional - either a GP, a practice nurse, a pharmacist or a travel health clinic - ideally at least eight weeks before departure. Further travel health advice can be found on www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk and www.travelhealthpro.org.uk
Passport and Visa
All passengers must hold valid passports, visas, and relevant entry documentation. arrangeMY Escape cannot obtain or process visa applications and accepts no liability for your failure to comply with requirements. Requirements may change at any time.
Non-UK Nationals must contact the relevant embassy/consulate.
It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure they hold a valid passport and any required visas, electronic authorisations, or other entry documents for their trip. Passports must meet the destination country’s requirements, including validity periods and blank pages. arrangeMY Escape provides general guidance only and accepts no liability for costs, losses, or denied entry arising from failure to obtain the correct documentation. Clients should consult the relevant embassy or consulate and the UK Government’s travel advice at https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice for full and up-to-date information.
We recommend a minimum of six months’ validity on your passport from your date of return.

Building Works Notification
Members will inform prospective clients of any building works at the accommodation or destination that could reasonably be expected to materially affect the enjoyment of the Travel Arrangements and will provide accurate details regarding the nature and extent of such works.
Travel Insurance
It is strongly recommended that clients obtain travel insurance to cover cancellation costs, medical expenses, and assistance, including repatriation, in the event of accident, illness, or death while travelling. Clients are advised to arrange appropriate cover as soon as their booking is confirmed to ensure protection against unforeseen circumstances.
Inclusion of Compulsory Costs and Local Fees
The quoted holiday price includes all compulsory costs. Certain charges, such as tourist taxes or resort fees, may be payable locally at the destination. Such fees are calculated based on exchange rates at the time of quotation and may be subject to change prior to travel. arrangeMY Escape will provide a full breakdown of holiday costs, including the final balance, any compulsory local fees, and any additional extras requested. All quoted prices are inclusive of applicable tourist taxes and resort fees, unless otherwise stated.
Airline Seating Requests
arrangeMY Escape acts solely as an agent in relation to airline bookings and cannot guarantee or assign specific seats. Any requests for seat selection are subject to the airline’s policies and may incur additional fees payable directly to the airline. For bookings with carriers such as Jet2.com, TUI, and easyJet, seats may be selected for a fee at the time of booking. With scheduled airlines, seat selection may only be available once the fare is fully ticketed, which typically requires full payment. Clients are advised that requesting the tour operator to issue tickets before standard ticketing may require immediate full payment and may affect applicable terms and conditions. arrangeMY Escape accepts no liability for any costs, losses, or inconvenience arising from seat selection or airline seating policies. Please ask the booking agent for clarification.
Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking or otherwise agreeing to proceed, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions in full, and that a binding contract has been formed between the client, arrangeMY Escape, and the principal tour operator responsible for the Travel Arrangements.
